Position Overview

Membership Consultants play a key role in the company’s overall success by:

  • Achieving and exceeding membership sales and revenue goals and selling ancillary services
  • Contributing to member retention and satisfaction by advising members and guests on programs that help them meet their long‑ and short‑term health and fitness goals
  • Providing members and guests with legendary service and enhancing their sense of belonging and community within the club

Key Responsibilities
  • Achieve or exceed individual membership sales goals by generating referrals, converting inquiries into appointments, following up, and closing prospects.
  • Implement and adhere to all steps of the sales process, including assessing the needs of prospective members, presenting a value‑based view of the Chiefs Fit brand, leading tours, presenting membership and service options and prices, and closing sales.
  • Help integrate new members into personal training by attaching point‑of‑sale sessions or scheduling their complimentary onboarding session.
  • Meet weekly and monthly goals and metrics as outlined in individual tracking sheets.
  • Meet with MM weekly to review prior and current week’s activity.
  • Actively develop leads through telephone, internet, community outreach, corporate visits, referrals, special events, and partnerships.
  • Utilize the lead tracking system to manage prospect and member data.
  • Prior to ending each shift, ensure that the CRM calendar for the next shift is updated and set up for success.
  • Complete and submit all new member paperwork (Membership Agreement, Personal Training Policies, Corporate Proof, etc.) before the member joins.
  • Attend and participate in membership, team, club, and company meetings, member functions, outside marketing events, and promotion planning.
  • Know the competition and use that information to make suggestions or changes that enable the club to be “best in class” and achieve results.
  • Ensure superior customer service by sustaining a culture committed to listening to members and guests, understanding their needs, and exceeding expectations.
  • Create and deepen relationships with members, enhancing their sense of belonging and community by personal outreach.
  • Deal with member issues proactively, own member problems, and solve within 24 hours.
  • Be knowledgeable about the company, services, promotions, and business practices to provide consistent and accurate information.
  • Work as part of the overall team by respecting, supporting, encouraging co‑workers, assisting other departments, and approaching challenges creatively.
  • Maintain an active working knowledge of the company and its services and promotions.
  • Be proficient in all club software systems.
  • Follow all club policies and procedures.
  • Attend all meetings, events, and education sessions, providing feedback and sharing ideas to improve business aspects.
  • Perform other duties as required. Employee responsibilities are subject to change at any time.
Work Schedule

Full‑time. Hours vary with club needs, including prime time, weekends, holidays, and occasional early mornings or late nights. All members of the membership team are required to work the last two days of the month. Special events and promotions may demand additional hours.
