We are hiring Maintenance and Service Technicians at three progressive levels. All candidates apply to the same posting — your exact title, responsibilities, and pay will be determined during the interview process based on your current skills, certifications, and experience. There is clear room for advancement as you gain additional skills and certifications as well as opportunities for advancement across different brands.
MaintenanceTechnician
$19 – $30
Preventive maintenance, handyman repairs, basic facility upkeep
$20 – $30
Full hot-side repairs, minor cold-side & HVAC repairs, PM, handyman work
$30.50 – $45
Diagnose & repair all HVAC, hot-side, and cold-side equipment; train others; advanced PM & handyman repairs
What You’ll Do (responsibilities grow with level)- Perform Flynn Arby’s-approved preventive maintenance on cooking, refrigeration, and facility equipment
- Complete general maintenance/handyman repairs (tile, drywall, FRP, ceiling grids, painting, carpentry, door hardware, plumbing, lighting, electrical outlets/switches, drain lines, etc.)
- Diagnose and repair restaurant equipment (hot-side, cold-side, and HVAC/R – scope increases by level)
- Respond to emergency maintenance and emergency requests (including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed)
- Communicate repair status with store management and Maintenance Manager
- Ensure all work meets safety, code, and company standards
- Perform rooftop work and work in extreme heat/cold as required
- Mentor and train less-experienced technicians (Level
1)
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (proof required upon hire)
- Valid driver’s license with clean Motor Vehicle Report
- Reliable transportation (100% travel within your region – company vehicle or mileage reimbursement provided)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and criminal background check
- Basic hand tools and working knowledge of meters
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work on rooftops, bend, stoop, and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- EPA 608 HVAC certification (required for Level 1 & 2 placement)
- 1+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience
- Restaurant or QSR maintenance experience
- Electrical, plumbing, or carpentry certifications or trade experience
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing fryers, ovens, grills, refrigeration, ice machines, and RTUs
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling 50+ lbs
- Climbing ladders and working on rooftops
- Exposure to extreme heat (rooftops) and cold (walk‑ins/freezers)
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, and overhead work
