Job Title
HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician – Nextech
About the RoleJoin Nextech, the largest HVAC/R service provider in the United States, and help deliver reliable, high‑quality service to commercial clients as a skilled HVAC/R Technician. Your daily tasks will include diagnosing and repairing HVAC/R systems, performing maintenance and emergency service, documenting all service details, maintaining your company vehicle and tools, communicating with customers and dispatch, and identifying additional service opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components
- Perform maintenance and emergency service as needed, including after‑hours on‑call rotations
- Accurately document all service details using company‑provided iPads
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and parts inventory to the highest standards
- Communicate clearly with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth scheduling and service delivery
- Identify additional service opportunities and share them with customers
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an HVAC/R field technician
- EPA certification and a valid driver’s license
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and work plans
- Basic comfort with mobile apps and technology
- A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to quality
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays when needed
- Must be able to safely work at heights using ladders up to 28‑32 ft and operate equipment within manufacturer weight limits
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment up to 100 lbs
- Must be able to bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach into confined spaces, and perform twisting, pushing, and pulling tasks
- Must maintain physical stamina for repetitive tasks and extended activity
- Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders throughout the day
- Must use vision, hearing, and verbal communication continuously
- Must operate work‑related equipment such as iPads, cell phones, and computers
- Must be able to travel to customer sites as needed
- Required to occasionally work in an office environment
- Required to follow all applicable safety procedures

USD $30.00 – $35.00 per hour.
