Overview
Join to apply for the Curbside Passenger Assist role at Transdev North America in Kansas City, MO. This role provides friendly and cheerful assistance to passengers with directions, information, and luggage or mobility device help. The position also supports the Supervisor in dispatching buses and coordinating operational matters. Non-CBA Position.
Key Responsibilities- Be at the bus, attending to the boarding and alighting of guests.
- Provide assistance to passengers with luggage in boarding and alighting the buses.
- Notify the supervisor of passenger concerns, complaints, or problems.
- Greet every passenger and answer questions courteously.
- Assist in the boarding/alighting of passengers with mobility devices.
- Assist wheelchair passengers to rental car counters, as needed.
- Dispatch buses from the RAC or terminal in a timely manner.
- Provide carts to alighting RAC guests when necessary.
- Provide the supervisor with assistance as required in lost and found procedures.
- Safely assist in maneuvering mobility devices on/off the bus and to the Rental Car Customer Service Counters.
- Push/pull luggage carts in the Customer Service Facility and retrieve them in the lobby, lots, and busing areas.
- Assist in keeping the work and passenger areas in safe, neat and clean conditions.
- Other duties as assigned or requested by Supervisor and/or Management.
- Desire to be safe and work safely.
- Maintain a calm and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Attend to guests' needs at the bus.
- Effectively communicate in English, orally and in writing.
- Willing to work shift hours and days as assigned in this 24/7/365 operation.
- Will work while standing in hot, cold, windy and humid environments.
- The ability to monitor and operate a 2-way radio in a somewhat noisy environment.

- Work outside in varying temperatures, weather and humidity conditions; 100% of the job is performed outside, including working alone and in remote locations.
- Stand for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours per day); frequently walk long distances on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 100 pounds; lift up to 80 lbs with or without assistance; occasional bending, kneeling or crouching to access files or equipment.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
