Amazon is seeking an Operation Manager for its Transportation team. In this role you will be working closely with fulfillment centers (FCs) and sort centers (SCs), last mile (LMs) logistic partners and other stakeholders for smooth management of line haul operations across Amazon’s middle mile network. As a Line Haul Manager, you will be responsible for executing carrier operations for the assigned ഭാര്യ/region.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders including Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, Network Design, S&OP, Air haul, Rail haul, EF team and Last Mile operations team. You will collaborate with external stakeholders such as vendors and carriers. We are looking for individuals with proven ability to drive process improvements & ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others.

The individual should have a can-do attitude and an ability to solve problems independently with limited guidance. Your role will involve managing operational metrics, lead continuous improvement process and cost initiatives, managing carrier relationships and plan for any changes in network.

  • Lead line haul operations for the Gujarat region, including day-to-day executionertools.

  • Build relationships with LH/MR carriers and key stakeholders.
  • Manage LH/MR schedule on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Plan and scale capacities for peak sales events in collaboration with the central team and carriers.
  • Lead and support initiatives on network speed, reliability and expansion by collaborating with central stakeholders.
  • Manage continuous improvement projects related to safety, cost, and efficiency.
  • Drive programs/projects of national/regional importance in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Manage key metrics such as safety, cost, carrier-related performance, departure-arrival performance, DEA, self-invoicing, payments, etc.

Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts
