Staff Accountant

This position supports the preparation of financial statements and general ledger activity for individual entities within a multi-entity regional company, and assists with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial analysis.

Essential Functions:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements for individual entities, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements

Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules as part of month-end close

Perform account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts

Assist with daily bank and revenue reconciliations

Support analysis of financial data, trends, and actual results versus budget

Develop a working understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll and benefit reconciliation processes

Help maintain accurate and organized supporting documentation for audits and internal review

Support special projects and analysis as requested by accounting leadership

Education and/or

Experience:

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration. 1-3 years of accounting experience is preferred.
