USD #422 Kiowa County is seeking an elementary school physical education teacher for the school year. Currently, the position teaches PreK - 7th grade physical education.
Position Benefits and Supplemental Contracts
Coaching and other supplemental duties are available but aren't required.
annual base salary is: $44,000.
Signing Bonus of $1,000 offered.
Benefits include paid time off (PTO) days.
The district provides a single health insurance policy, or a $777 benefit toward a family health insurance policy.
Knowledge of current course content, teaching methods, educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles.
Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
Ability to organize and coordinate work.
Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
Qualifications Profile
Kansas State Certification as a Physical Education Teacher or the ability to obtain one.
Education
Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment preferred.

Kiowa County High School is a large 1A school in the Southern Plains-Iroquois Activities Association. Our state-of-the-art K-12 school was opened in 2010 in Greensburg, KS. Students attend our high school from the communities of Greensburg, Haviland, and Mullinville. USD 422 has one-to-one laptops for students grades 3-12. Classrooms are outfitted with Promethean Panels. Kiowa County is a great place to raise a family.
