4th Grade Teacher Position Open for

Waconda USD 272 is seeking applications for a Full‑Time 4th Grade Teacher due to retirement for the 2026‑2027 school year and beyond.

Applicant must have (or be able to obtain) a Certified Teaching license with the proper endorsement.

Applicants willing to obtain licensure through a two‑year Transition to Teaching Program are also encouraged to apply.

Salary Information

Salary is based on the negotiated agreement salary schedule. Starting first‑year teachers with a Bachelor’s degree earn $40,102 for the 2025‑2026 school year. Teaching experience and education will be credited toward movement on the salary schedule.

USD 272 — Waconda consists of the towns of Cawker City, Downs, Glen Elder, and Tipton.
