Job DescriptionResponsible for working with teachers and staff to support services being provided in the regular education classroom – which could include the creation and oversight of behavior programming, conduct FBAs and design, analyze and modify programming based on assessment results and ongoing data. Oversee implementation of direct services with students to ensure successful outcomes.
Duties / Responsibilities- Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of behavioral support programming for individual students with collaboration with the special education team.
- Provides ongoing and regular program implementation supervision and support for the special education team.
- Provides ongoing professional development with the Cooperative teaching and related service providers and additional team members supporting special education students.
- Coordinates and communicates ongoing and regular team meetings to provide support for special education students with follow‑up on behavior program implementation.
- Ensure behavioral strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across all educational settings.
- Ensure that all team members demonstrate proficiency in using applied behavior analysis by communicating and meeting regularly with staff, supervisors and directors.
- Provide professional development and coaching to teachers and staff related to behavior.
- Participate in developing data‑taking mechanisms and reporting strategies.
- Collect and accurately record behavioral, social, academic and other data as required per student’s specific IEP goals and programming.
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of behavior programs and communicate with the student’s IEP team.
- Participate in presenting student data during staffing and IEP meetings.
- Requires special education endorsement (of any grade levels) and to be assigned special education duties and responsibilities.
- Experience in special education.
- Comprehensive knowledge of special education regulations, instructional practices and assessment techniques.
