Early Childhood Para educator - Early Learning Center
Basehor-Linwood USD 458has an immediate opening fora para educator for the Early Learning Center the school year.
The person in this position works under the direct supervision of the early childhood teacher- and will provide assistance in implementing individual education plans and programs related to the students’ delays and/or challenges. The person works directly with students- individually or in small groups. This may require lifting or assisting with personal needs. In addition to this- some clerical work on the computer may be required.
This person will work 7 hours per day (8:00-3:30)- Monday through Friday.

Basehor-Linwood Unified School District 458 serves students and families in a 90 square mile area of southern Leavenworth County, Kansas. We currently have 8 district attendance centers. Our Early Learning Center for Childcare and Pre-K opened for the 2020-21 school year in August. K-5 buildings are located in Bonner Springs, Basehor and the Glenwood Ridge subdivision. A new K-5 building, located in Basehor, opened in the Fall 2021.
Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 attend Basehor-Linwood Middle School in Basehor, near the center of the district. Basehor-Linwood High School, located in Basehor, is a 5A school, serving students in grades 9 through 12.
BLHS was named a 2012 National Blue Ribbon School. In addition, the district operates Basehor-Linwood Virtual School, an internet-based school serving approximately 250 K-12 students statewide instructed by Basehor-Linwood teachers.
Special Education services are provided by the Tonganoxie/Basehor-Linwood Special Education Cooperative located in Basehor.
