Make renewable energy better—every day. Join a mission‑driven engineering team that designs, improves, and scales corn‑based ethanol technologies that sustain agriculture, advance renewable energy, and expand global protein supply. Our technologies operate across a broad footprint of biorefineries, and our culture champions Collaboration, Humility, Ownership, Innovation, and Stewardship.
Design choices matter. In this role you’ll help cut energy intensity, improve yields, and reduce waste streams across biorefineries—moving the needle on decarbonization while sustaining agricultural economies. The mission centers on renewable fuels and responsible innovation; your engineering rigor turns that mission into measurable plant‑level outcomes. You will assist with troubleshooting issues at operating plants and develop timely, cost‑effective solutions. Provide solutions that may include design packages with equipment specifications and P& to reflect changes.
Assist in managing projects to completion including tracking the project time.
- Education:
Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline. - Experience:
3–5+ years in process engineering (biofuels/ethanol preferred), with PFD/P&t, equipment specification, and plant optimization work. - Tools & tech:
Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with AutoCAD and common process simulation packages (e.g., Aspen/ChemCAD). - Core skills:
Meticulous attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication, and the confidence to work independently after an initial training period. - Values alignment:
You thrive in a culture built on Collaboration, Humility, Ownership, Innovation, and Stewardship—and you show it in how you plan, design, review, and support projects.
- Real‑world impact:
Your designs support facilities that produce a significant share of global ethanol—work that tangibly advances renewable energy. - Growth & variety:
From greenfield design to complex retrofits and plant optimizations, you’ll see the full lifecycle of process engineering. - Purpose‑built teams:
You’ll join a high‑trust environment where engineers learn from each other, visit plants, and ship designs that operators appreciate.
Frequent site visits required, 20% travel required or as needed. Must possess current, valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
