Location: Saint Paul
Hunger Solutions Minnesota is looking for a Director of Finance whose primary purpose is to provide financial and operational guidance for the organization. The Director of Finance reports to the Executive Director (ED) and supports the following areas:
Finance, Business Planning and Budgeting, Human Resources, Administration, and IT. In addition, the Director of Finance is part of the senior leadership team and participates in strategic decision making as Hunger Solutions Minnesota continues to review its reach and capacity to serve its mission.
Location:Mostly remote until safe to return to office in St. Paul, some in-person training required

Salary:$75,000-$90,000 annually
- Review and finalize financial reports for each department. Develop financial reports and communicate the financial health of the organization to the leadership team in order to support decision making.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial and accounting trends, policies, and practices. Implement needed changes within the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Manages Human Resources function of the organization to ensure HR compliance and to support leadership objectives.
- Manages Information & Technology systems of the organization to ensure data integrity and security of software systems and assets.
- Manage State and Federal grants & contracts
Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively manage time while adhering to strict and changing deadlines.
- General understanding of Project Management principles
- Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form to all levels of employees
- Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with various community organizations.
- Thorough understanding of Financial Reporting and GAAP
- General understanding of Human Resources Management.
- Proficiency in the following:
Word, Excel, Financial Edge (or other accounting software), Microsoft Office 365
- BA degree in accounting, human resources, business field required
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ combined experience in Finance and Human Resources
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in management, preferably in the non-profit
- Advanced knowledge of finance, banking, cash management, accounting.
- Advanced knowledge of human resource functions.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- Ability to organize time, set priorities, and work in an effective manner.
- Maintain constructive relationships and demonstrate respect for everyone.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects
- Excellent writing, analytical, research, presentations, and public speaking
