- Valid occupational therapist assistant state license
Provide occupational therapy and related services for patients under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist (OT) while maintaining positive interaction levels with facilities and clients. Deliver ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervise rehab techs as required, and manage case details. Represent Reliant Rehabilitation’s commitment to quality and service, adhering to all state and federal occupational therapy regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Under the direction of the licensed occupational therapist, optimize the functional abilities and skills of patients.
- Build a robust occupational therapy assistant program.
- Enhance clinical expertise and professional management skills through interaction with managers, therapists, and other staff; engage in self‑study and continuing education.
- Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about professional and healthcare environment issues.
- Understand payment models, billing, and treatment guidelines; provide quality care and set reasonable goals and outcomes within the guidelines.
- Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within a facility.
- Read, write, speak, and comprehend English for instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports.
