Information Technology Technician – Cloud County Community College

The Information Technology Technician will provide technical support and advice for inter‑institutional and extra‑institutional computer networks, ensuring effective, flexible, coordinated computer, network, and information services to all authorized users within fiscal constraints. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, and a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
Responsibilities- Assist with the development, technical support, troubleshooting, repair, and advisement for the internal institutional telecommunications, computer systems, including hardware, software, topologies, protocols, and settings.
- Apply systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications.
- Provide input on the design, documentation, testing, creation, or modification of computer programs related to machine operating systems.
- Support and assist the system administrator with Microsoft networking, Active Directory, and Exchange servers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all desktop hardware and software issues.
- Provide technical assistance at the Geary County Campus in Junction City, Kansas, with monthly and emergency travel required.
- Assist in developing institutional policies, procedures, and standards for computer‑based technology.
- Interact cordially with coworkers to accomplish common tasks.
- Perform any other job‑related duties requested by the supervisor.
