Systems Administrator, IT Support, Cybersecurity, Network Security
We are a family of small businesses spanning agriculture and technology operations across multiple states and sites. We are guided by a clear mission and a set of values we actually run on:
Mission:
We serve one another by consistently delivering genetic value through our God-honoring legacy of stewardship.
Vision:
We cultivate generational impact through the relentless pursuit of excellence.
Values:
Honor God First, Families Second Consistently Excellent (we do not drift, we decide) GRIT (passion plus perseverance, multiplied by effort).
The IT & Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, configuration, documentation, security, and reliable operation of the technology and connected systems that keep our businesses running. This is a hands-on, self-directed role that blends traditional IT with on-site infrastructure, light automation, and operational technology (OT) across all sites. This role reports to the General Manager.
Key Results Area #1 – Design and Implement- Design or select technology systems (network, firewalls, Wi-Fi, servers, endpoints, phones, printers, security/access control, building controls, etc.) that support operations across all sites
- Identify current and future needs and coordinate design with Leadership
- Plan and execute network and connectivity projects (firewall/Sonic Wall, Uni Fi/UISP managed Wi-Fi, Starlink, ISP/demarc/antenna cutovers, redundancy)
- Stand up and manage cloud identity and devices (Microsoft 365, Entra , Intune, MFA, shared-device authentication)
- Upgrade and repurpose equipment throughout company sites
- Educate and train employees on new and current equipment, software, and procedures, including more secure computer use
- Onboard and offboard employees across all entities (accounts, devices, permissions, equipment)
- Run security-awareness training and phishing-simulation campaigns (e.g., KnowBe4)
- Troubleshoot and repair systems (network, endpoint, application, server, controls) and resolve employee equipment and access issues promptly
- Monitor performance and health of all technology and connected systems; maintain and verify backups, server health, and uptime
- Maintain operational technology and building/site systems — building automation/HVAC controls (e.g., Siemens Desigo), environmental and life-safety monitoring (Sensaphone, First Alert), access control (Remote Lock, UID Enterprise), solar monitoring (Fronius/Sunny)
- Direct and perform basic low-voltage and sensor work; troubleshoot voltages and connected devices on site
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime; replace failing or expired equipment before it fails
- Enforce security policies, MFA, and least-privilege access; maintain records, asset inventories, and consistent status reporting for Leadership
We want a versatile technologist who can operate at or above the level of a seasoned managed-services technician — equally comfortable in a firewall console, a Microsoft 365 admin center, and a mechanical room. Strong candidates bring most of:
- Networking (Sonic Wall or equivalent, VLANs/SSIDs, Uni Fi/UISP, ISP/demarc cutovers, basic routing/redundancy)
- Microsoft 365 / cloud identity (Entra , Intune, MFA, Teams, SharePoint/One Drive, licensing)
- Endpoints and support (Windows admin, imaging/onboarding, printers, Quick Books/PDF/Dropbox and other business apps)
- Servers and backups (file/on-prem servers, NAS such as Synology, backup verification; VMs a plus)
- Security (MFA, KnowBe4 or similar, policy enforcement, secure media disposal)
- Operational technology (building/HVAC controls such as Siemens Desigo, Sensaphone, First Alert, Remote Lock, solar monitoring) — or strong aptitude to learn
- Hands-on aptitude (low-voltage wiring, sensor replacement, mounting/installs, basic electrical troubleshooting)
- Automation/development a plus (Power Automate/Forms, scripting, or willingness to build simple internal tools)
- Clear written documentation and a consistent reporting cadence
- Dependable, honest, service-minded, and able to prioritize independently across multiple businesses and sites
Agriculture or operations experience is helpful but not required; the ability to learn unfamiliar systems quickly matters more.
- This is a hybrid role with minimum 50% on-site. Compensation is heavily dependent on relevant skills and experience.
