The Seasonal Elevator Operator position is responsible for assisting with the receiving, storing, and shipping of grain at the Company’s grain elevator and other grain storage facilities. This position is currently seasonal/temporary, with a potential full-time opportunity where applicable.

• Dumps grain and/or loads railcars or trucks; cleans up grain spills.
• Inspects grain for insects, moisture, and foreign material while unloading grain trucks.
• Reads grain temperatures at various levels in storage tanks in a timely manner.
• Starts conveyors, selects flow pipes, sets trippers, and selects storage tanks to convey grain into storage or appropriate destination.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on all elevator equipment.
• Assists with inventory controls as directed by supervision.
• Maintains cleanliness and maintenance of vehicles and equipment as qualified; reports issues.
• Promotes company and branch location cohesiveness through effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintains clean facilities and complies with all state and federal regulations pertaining to a safe workplace and housekeeping.
• Attends training and safety meetings; provides excellent customer service.
• Communicates effectively by verbal and written means with customers, employees, and management.
• Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Presents a clean and professional appearance.
• Performs all other duties as directed by the supervisor.

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to multitask and be mechanically inclined.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
