Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to Master Sanitation schedule (MSS) and Sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs)
- Perform diversified duties in accordance with MSS and SSOPs to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions of production environment
- Perform machine teardowns and set-ups daily while maintaining full compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Complete daily sanitation activities on the plant grounds
- Ensure safe handling and storage of hazardous sanitation chemicals to mitigate safety risk
- Understand how to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDSs)
- Ensure food safety, pest control, and food defense in the plant
- Communicate appropriately with supervisor when there are concerns or questions in a timely manner
- Use a variety of hand tools and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Effectively communicate with members of staff at all levels in a professional manner
- Actively participate in company safety meetings and be a proponent of employee safety
- Follow all GMPs and all other company quality and food safety programs as they relate to the quality assurance department

This is a full-time position. Hours of work are:
Sunday-Friday: 9:00 pm.
-5:30 am.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Travel RequirementsThis position will not require travel
Education and Experience- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Food manufacturing sanitation or food safety experience preferred and highly desired

Knowledge and SkillsOutstanding verbal communications skills, ability to read and comprehend work instructions. Must be able to operate a variety of hand tools. Must be willing to work with hazardous chemicals with appropriate safety gear in place.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsApproximately 90% of work is performed in a refrigerated environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, crouching, crawling and climbing during the entirety of shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs. Vision abilities require close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.
