Community and Program Coordinator

Are you organized, driven by community impact, and great at keeping projects moving forward? We are seeking a Community & Program Coordinator to join our team.

In this role, you will utilize project management skills to manage assigned community programs, lead outreach initiatives, coordinate local tourism marketing, and deliver vital health navigation services. Your primary focus shifts seasonally: during peak open enrollment (November-December), you will lead health insurance navigation and client appointments through the Kansas CARES Project. Throughout the rest of the year, you will manage community initiatives, handle tourism promotion, support team events, and help bring new organizational projects from concept to completion.

• Lead Health Navigation: Serve as lead coordinator for the Kansas CARES Project. Provide health insurance enrollment assistance during open enrollment (Nov-Dec) and maintain year-round client support, follow-ups, and required data reporting.

  Build referral networks with local partners, educate the public on available resources, and coordinate outreach activities.

• Digital & State Tourism Marketing: Maintain State of Kansas tourism listings, update website content, and create weekly blog/social media posts to promote local Clay County tourism.
• Deliverables & Engagement: Track tourism grant milestones and represent Grow Clay County at regional tourism meetings or trainings.

• Cross-Functional Event Support: Assist the CEO and Event & Operations Coordinator with planning, setup, logistics, and execution for major community and business events.
• Grants & Operations: Collaborate on grant reporting, joint marketing efforts, and front-office coverage as needed.

• Strong organizational, task-management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with a desire to work directly with the public.
• Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse community members, including low-income and medically underserved populations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail while adapting to seasonal workload shifts.
