Oncology
Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team! This position will support the Beaumont, Texas location
. It is Monday‑Friday, no weekends or holidays, and no call. The role is either a Level I, II or Senior based on candidate experience.

What does the Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) do?

Under minimal supervision, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with national and company standards, including physiological, psychological, developmental, and age‑specific considerations. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to assess and manage patient and family needs, and supports the US Oncology Compliance Program.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients and reviewing medical history.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and instructional material.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, including:
    • Managing patient medication refill requests via the pharmacy telephone line and recording the information in the patient chart.
    • Facilitating and scheduling consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests, referrals, and future appointments.
    • Triaging patient phone calls and documenting relevant information.
    • Facilitating communication between patient/family and the interdisciplinary team and coordinating services related to patient care.
    • Assisting patients in locating community resources.
  • Act as an interprofessional resource for LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications Education/Training Level I
  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Entry level – 0–3 years nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level II
  • Minimum three years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
Level Senior
  • Minimum five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
  • Oncology certification preferred.
Working Conditions

The work environment may expose employees to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.

Physical Requirements

Requires full range of body motion, handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, standing and walking for extensive periods, and occasionally lifting items up to 40 lb. Corrected vision and hearing in the normal range are required.
