PRN Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) – Beaumont, TX
Texas Oncology seeks a PRN Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to work in Beaumont, Texas. The role is Monday‑Friday, no weekends or holidays, and no on‑call duties. The position can be Level I, II or Senior based on your experience.

Under minimal supervision, you will provide professional nursing care for patients, adhering to national and company standards and specialty regulations. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for assessment and therapeutic management of patient and family needs while supporting the US Oncology Compliance Program.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care in line with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
- Identify patient/family needs and provide teaching and informational material.
- Offer psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care:
- Manage medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record information in patient charts.
- Schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests, procedures, referrals and future appointments.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the chart.
- Coordinate services related to patient care and assist patients in locating community resources.
- Inter‑professional collaboration:
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must maintain continuing education requirements.
- 0‑3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, at least one year in oncology strongly preferred.
- Oncology certification preferred.
Employees will work in an oncology/hematology clinic environment with exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other medical preparations common to such settings.
Physical RequirementsFull range of body motion including handling and lifting patients; manual and finger dexterity; eye‑hand coordination; standing and walking for extended periods; occasional lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs; corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
