American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a critical access hospital role combining OB and med-surg duties on night shifts, requiring BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

• Critical access hospital setting in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Role is approximately 75% med-surg due to low delivery volume (1-2 babies per week)
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:00-06:00)
• 1:1 patient ratio for OB patients
• 1:3 patient ratio for med-surg patients (up to 1:4 during cold/flu season)
• Uses CPSI and Perigen charting systems
• 13-week assignment length
• Scheduling may be blocked where possible but cannot be guaranteed

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery specialty required
• Prior critical access hospital experience required
• References required for consideration

• Provide nursing care across both Labor and Delivery and med-surg patient populations
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate
• Background and return staff policies reviewed on a case-by-case basis
