This position will work Monday-Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

The Quality Inspection Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing products meet established quality standards and specifications. This hands‑on role operates primarily on the distribution center floor, performing detailed inspections, documenting results, and addressing quality-related issues to support both customer service and warehouse teams. The position plays a key role in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance throughout the inspection process.
Responsibilities- Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with customers by promptly addressing inquiries and concerns regarding product quality. Communicate feedback, including any dissatisfaction, to management for resolution.
- Quality Systems: Proficiently operate the WMS or other quality tracking systems to document inspection results, maintain product traceability, and ensure compliance with customer quality requirements.
- Customer Service Requirements: Fully understand and adhere to customer service standards related to product quality and inspection procedures.
- Product Rotation & Compliance: Ensure products are rotated and handled in accordance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality guidelines.
- Quality Inspection: Perform regular inspections of inbound, stored, and outbound products to identify damage, defects, or nonconformance, and report findings to management.
- Inbound Verification: Confirm that inbound products meet quality specifications and are received accurately from the customer’s receiving line or inbound vendors, as directed by management.
- Outbound Verification: Ensure outbound freight is staged and loaded in compliance with customer quality standards and management direction.
- Safety Awareness: Stay alert to potential hazards during inspections, such as damaged pallets or unsafe product stacking, and report any safety concerns immediately to prevent injury.
- Security Monitoring: Follow security protocols to safeguard product integrity and warehouse operations. Report suspicious activity or breaches to management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Experience: One year of experience in a similar position (preferred)
- Knowledge/Experience/
Skills:- Must be able to read and count accurately, perform simple math, and write legibly.
- Forklift certified or possess the ability to complete a forklift training course successfully.
- General personal computer skills, including effective use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods; can lift up to fifty pounds on occasion to inspect products.
- The ability to follow directions, use deductive reasoning, and problem‑solving skills are essential.
- Must be well organized and able to multi‑task, comprehend written policies and procedures, and follow oral instructions.
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist, and/or kneel for up to 12‑hour periods and repetitively.
- Assist warehouse personnel in loading, loading, and cycle counting and other duties as assigned.
- Capability to navigate through narrow, confined spaces.
- Work near or on top of sloping, uneven, and/or slippery surfaces.
- Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty.
- Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection.
