We're looking for a Food Service Lead Manager to help run our school kitchens with creativity, care, and efficiency. This role goes beyond preparing meals, it's about creating a safe, fun, and nourishing environment for students and staff across the district.

What You'll Do:

As our Food Service Lead Manager, you'll be the heartbeat of our school kitchens, overseeing daily operations and supporting district-wide food service activities.

• Managing and guiding kitchen teams while keeping everything running smoothly.
• Preparing and serving meals that meet nutritional and safety standards.
• Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and balancing daily deposits.
• Ensuring kitchens and cafeterias are safe, clean, and up to health standards.
• Collaborating with students, staff, and the community to create a positive dining experience.
• Approving menu changes and evaluating new products to keep things fresh and exciting.
• Handling the unexpected with professionalism—whether it's a last-minute staff absence or a kitchen challenge.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience: At least 3 years in school nutrition programs, including 1 year as a Food Service Manager.
• Skills: Strong leadership, multitasking, record-keeping, and problem-solving abilities. Comfort with commercial kitchen equipment and software applications.
• Knowledge: Food safety and sanitation, nutrition standards, and basic math for meal prep and budgeting.
• Abilities: Clear communication, time management, teamwork, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand, walk, and move around the kitchen and cafeteria areas.
