Sales/Customer Support Representative

American Implement is seeking a Sales/Customer Support Representative for our dealership in Wheeler, Kansas.

Candidate will use interpersonal skills, product knowledge, and organizational skills to develop sales leads and provide solutions to customers. Professional presentation, strong communication skills, and familiarity with local agricultural practices are required. Candidates must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and have a clean motor vehicle record. EOE.

Essential Job Functions
  • Represents the company in promotion and sale of new and used agricultural lines of products.
  • Maintains current product knowledge of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership.
  • Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management.
  • Maintains sales management information for all customers in assigned territory.
  • Calls on customers and/or travels to customer locations to perform follow‑up activities on complete goods, parts and service sales.
  • Knows and follows a defined sales process in CRM as per AI guidelines & policy.
  • Ensures effective communication with appropriate sales staff, other departments, and customers to meet individual sales objectives.
  • Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment.
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
  • Demonstrates equipment and provides field start‑up support.
  • Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management.
  • Ensures customers have received an anticipated level of service and assistance with their questions or concerns.
  • Maintains current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 1–2 years of equipment sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of agricultural or turf equipment and farming or operational practices preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet tools.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Strong interpersonal/customer‑service skills.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Physical Requirements
  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking; able to lift up to 25 lbs without assistance and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Requires driving a vehicle, extensive computer use, normal hearing, speaking, and vision. Must load and unload trailer with equipment safely in various weather.
