Electrical Journeyman - Volts

The Electrical Journeyman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings. They must ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Additionally, they may be required to assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions. This opportunity is a full‑time temporary position for the duration of 6 1/5 to 8 months.

Our Get Volts team (a subsidiary of Prairie Band, LLC) is hiring for an Electrical Journeyman for our Prairie Band LLC, Travel Plaza located on the 150 &75 highway outside of Mayetta, KS - currently under construction. Come join a winning team today!

• Accomplishes electrical installation and maintenance objectives by performing tasks such as installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to local and national electrical codes.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues.
• Has responsibility for upgrading existing electrical systems to meet current safety and efficiency standards.
• Follows all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identifies potential safety hazards and takes appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
• Interprets electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute installations.
• Assists electricians as needed during installation and repair tasks.
• Coordinates with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Requires infrequent overnight travel.
