** Railcar Mover Resident Field Technician**, you’ll be the go-to expert for our customers, providing on-site troubleshooting, service, and repair of railcar movers directly at their work locations. This position operates as a Field Technician based in
** eastern or southeastern Colorado**, allowing you to support customers throughout the region. In this hands-on role, you’ll represent Foley Equipment with professionalism and skill, ensuring our customers’ equipment stays running safely and reliably. Your work helps keep critical operations moving forward.

* Job duties:

*** Perform repair and preventive maintenance on railcar moving equipment and evaluating for other preventative maintenance items to address with the customer.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustments
* Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
* Some troubleshooting on equipment may occasionally be required
* Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers on their repairs
* Develop and maintain long-lasting working relationships with customers
* Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads and available for after-hours calls as needed
* Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.
** Physical & Working Requirements
*** This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:
* Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance
* Safely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance
* Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials
* Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights
* Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods
* Safely operating tools and equipment
** Our Ideal Candidate:
*** Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics
* General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
* Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
* Ability to obtain a Class A or B CDL
** What will put you ahead:
*** Experience working within the diesel mechanics industry
* Railcar mover maintenance and repair experience (Shuttlewagon preferred)
* Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred)
* Stable work history
