U.S.D. No. 289 - Transportation Monitor/Aide

Job Description

Transportation Monitor/Aide, will assist the bus driver in providing an excellent and safe journey for students to and from school.

No experience as a Transportation Monitor/Aide is required! We will guide you with our industry-leading safety and training programs.

• Hourly Rate
  : $19.50/HR Contract $18/HR Substitute Monitor
• Flexible schedule:
  Split shifts (AM/PM routes), weekdays only;
  No nights, weekends, or holidays.

Your day as a Transportation Monitor/Aide will include:

• Help students safely board and exit the bus or van.
• Assist children with special needs during transport.
• Ensure students remain seated and follow vehicle safety rules.
• Communicate with the driver to maintain a safe, calm ride.
• Provide care and encouragement to students each day.
• At least 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid State  Drivers License.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• DOT Physical provided by school district.
• CPR certification provided by school district.
• Ability to work flexible split shifts (AM/PM).
• Physical ability to assist students and perform emergency procedures.
• Friendly, reliable, and patient working with children.
