Join our after‑school enrichment program as a Chess Instructor! Teach elementary students chess, foster a positive classroom environment, and share the magic of chess. Work part‑time with flexible schedules and competitive pay.

• Competitive Pay: $50–$65 per class (≈1.5 hours including setup, instruction, and cleanup)

  1–5 classes per week, weekday afternoons (2–5 PM)
• Travel Compensation:
  Mileage reimbursement for trips over 15 miles one‑way

• Lead fun, interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students
• Use our structured curriculum to teach fundamentals and sportsmanship
• Maintain a lively, positive classroom
• Encourage problem‑solving, creativity, and critical thinking
• Follow school safety protocols, including supervision during arrival, dismissal, and in‑class activities
• Travel to various local schools for each session
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to engage students

• Experience working with children (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camp counseling, or similar)
• Comfort leading a class independently and creating interactive, friendly sessions
• Professional, positive, and kid‑friendly demeanor
• Genuine desire to be a positive role model and promote sportsmanship
• Strong grasp of chess fundamentals – ability to explain piece movement, strategy, and tactics age‑appropriately
• Ability to connect chess problem‑solving to real‑life problem‑solving
• Reliable personal transportation and ability to drive between locations
• Availability weekday afternoons 2–5 PM for 1–5 classes per week
• Commitment to implementing school safety protocols and strong record of reliability
• Strong punctuality and time‑management skills

• Resume detailing relevant experience with children and teaching/tutoring experience
• Required questionnaire about interest, experience, and qualifications to teach chess

Location Requirement:
This position is based in Miami Beach/Ventura, FL. Relocation assistance is not provided. Candidates must be currently residing in the area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
