OverviewTeam members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as either variable hour, part‑time fixed, part‑time regular, or full‑time hourly employees. Primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher.
Team members represent Regal in a way that is consistent with our mission statement and policies, including:
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Handling emergency situations when called upon
- General cleaning duties
- Compliance with our company dress code
- Operate POS system and accurately manage cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons.
- Upsell/suggestive sell Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX).
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Ensure tickets are sold in accordance with MPAA rating system and company policy.
- Respond to phone calls and guests’ questions in a manner consistent with our guest service philosophy.
- Operate POS system, handle cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons, and manage concession stock inventory.
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program.
- Operate, prepare, and clean all concession equipment.
- Upsell/suggestive sell.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food‑safety laws.
- Abide by all federal and state laws regarding breaks and/or meal periods.
- Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current when applicable.
- If the theatre sells alcohol, be of legal age to sell/serve alcohol per state or local laws.
- Read and understand training materials covering sexual harassment and discrimination.
- Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums.
- Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable.
- Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats in auditoriums when necessary.
- Enforce MPAA rating system.
- Conduct in‑theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film or content theft, and maintain a safe quality environment.
- Report to management any problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations that arise.
- Perform in‑auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed.
- Clean auditoriums after scheduled shows and maintain cleanliness of restrooms, lobby area, hallways, and other areas outside the auditorium.
- Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned by management.
Pay Scale: $17.50 per hour.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education / ExperienceCompletion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress toward completion required.
For alcohol sales duties, complete legally required state or local training and obtain required certificate. Also complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University.
Language AbilityGood public speaking, effective listening, and clear direct response.
Math AbilityPerform calculations quickly and accurately; identify and correct errors.
Reasoning AbilityIdentify problems, gather relevant data, note possible causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, and reach evidence‑based conclusions. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.
Personal SkillsExcellent communication skills with customers, co‑workers, and management. Set goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve objectives.
Physical DemandsFrequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing. Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
