As a Host at Soho House, you will be the first point of contact for members, guests, and staff before they are seated for their dining experience. You will greet guests, answer incoming calls, and create reservations for the Club or F&B operations. Your role requires acute organizational and people skills to promote a positive experience from arrival to departure. You may also train other reception team members on service standards.

• Ensure every member and guest is welcomed by name (if local/applicable) and greeted with hospitality.
• Answer high‑volume phone lines and confidently respond to standard questions about menus, hours, amenity availability, and reservations.
• Create reservations for club/restaurants and assist F&B managers with service standards and execution.
• Maintain professionalism, accuracy, and discretion in all calls and interactions.
• Collaborate with the reception team to deliver excellent service and manage expectations.
• Build relationships with members and guests, reporting positive feedback and red flags to management.
• Contribute to a fun, positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience with Open Table and MICROS.
• Proven ability to answer high‑volume phone lines professionally and promptly.
• Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Detail oriented, articulate, and able to multi‑task in a demanding environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Flexible schedule, willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Must be able to grasp, turn, and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to stand for at least 8–10 hours.
• Fast paced movements to move between areas may be required.
• Must communicate clearly with guests, members, and coworkers.
• Must reach and use a computer, keyboard, and desktop items.
• Occasional kneeling, bending, crouching, and climbing may be required.
