Responsibilities- Direct multiple areas of pool, beach, and recreation; oversee all F&B Area Managers, Assistant F&B Area Managers, and Supervisors.
- Oversee employees and operations to ensure organization, cleanliness, proper maintenance and supplies.
- Forecast and budget for the department; adhere to budget and conduct overtime analysis.
- Provide floor coverage as needed.
- Represent the department in meetings and other events.
- Coordinate with various hotel department heads, maintaining adequate floor coverage within outlets and recreation areas and delegating administrative responsibilities when necessary.
- Organize departments through checklists, seating charts, pars and centralize information and supplies.
- Staff F&B outlets and recreation department per executive management needs.
- Plan 30/60/90 day forecast, yearly budget and employee needs.
- Promote within and outside the hotel to generate sales.
- Control product quality, service quality, general maintenance, payroll, and costs to increase profit, customer satisfaction and uniform standards.
- Evaluate reports supplied by supervisors and submit written observations.
- Direct staff toward the goals of Loews Hotels as defined by management.
- Ensure proper handling of guest checks and payment transactions.
- Intercede and/or fill in for employees when needed.
- Train or supervise training of all department employees.
- Encourage a positive attitude among employees and ensure courteous treatment of guests, employees, and management.
- Notify immediate supervisor promptly and fully of all significant problems or unusual matters.
- Be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees.
- Attend all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
- Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
- Comply with safety regulations and procedures.
- Comply with hotel policies and rules.
- Recycle whenever possible.
- Remain current with hotel information and changes.
- Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in and ability to train and motivate staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Sound business decision-making ability.
- High standards of service.
- Fluency in English (read, speak and write).
- Excellent communication and customer service orientation.
- Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
High School Diploma
Experience5–7 years of F&B management, preferably in a pool operation.
Licenses and CertificationsFood Handler certification
