Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Overview

- Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for performing hands-on maintenance and installation of refinery equipment. Primarily responsible for the quality repair and preventative maintenance of all refinery machinery (compressors, turbines, engine pumps).
- Actively pursues safety, environmental, regulatory, and reliability enhancing issues.
Key activities include:
- Responsible for precision machining of refinery equipment and parts using shop tools (lathe, milling machine, etc.)
- Works with Refinery operators, Shop Supervisors, Planners, other mechanics, maintenance reliability group and engineering to perform analytical troubleshooting of machinery failures.
- Involved in all aspects of removing, repairing, and installing refinery machinery in both a field and shop environment.
- Will be required to train and operate utility equipment such as a forklift, manlift, etc.
- Will be required to assist in all general craft of maintenance, as workload requires.
- Responsibility for compliance with all refinery environmental, health and safety standards.
- Compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Standards.
- Assembling tools and materials.
- Understand and take direction of Supervisors.
- Maintaining housekeeping of the shop and work area.
- Works cooperatively with all co-workers and Supervisors.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with others in written and verbal forms.
- Reliable and engaged in furthering organizational goals, demonstrated by maintaining high standard of personal performance, professional growth and attendance.
- Fosters trusting relationships with co-workers and cross-functional work areas.

Additional qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum two (2) years completed trade school or equivalent preferred.
- Five (5) years' experience as a Mechanic, Machinist or Boilermaker preferred.
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver's License
- Must maintain active Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
