Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
DESCRIPTION
Completes repairs and rebuilds on engine products in a service workshop under supervision.
We are looking for a talented Diesel/EV Technician to join our Distribution business in Kapolei, HIqua.

Will make an impact in the following ways:
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance бит/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development and certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
- Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
- Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
- Demonstrates an understanding of access to engine repair process information sources
- Understands after‑treatment system and can identify major components and their functions at a rudimentary level
- Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts
- Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software
- Technician will be required to work on Diesel Engines, Chassis and EV product
- Main work area will be the shop but the technician may be required to support work in the field
- Working hours are M‑F during day shift (7:00 am to 5:00 pm); overtime may be required
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
- A current valid license is required for this role
- This role requires a 5‑year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). years driving experience
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre‑employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing
- Apprentice trained engine technician (preferred)
- Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit (preferred)
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
- Minimal level of workshop experience required
- Basic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Base salary range $35‑$38 per hour.
