Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students from Grades 5 to 10. The teacher will design engaging sports and fitness programs that support students' physical, mental, and social development.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

Plan and conduct regular physical education classes for Grades 5–10.

Teach a Variety Of Physical Activities Such As

Athletics (running, jumping, throwing)

Team sports (football, basketball, volleyball, etc.)

Fitness exercises (strength, endurance, flexibility)

Promote the importance of physical fitness and healthy living.

Skill Development

Develop students' motor skills, coordination, and physical strength.

Encourage teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Identify and nurture students with athletic potential.

Assessment & Evaluation

Assess students' physical performance and participation.

Maintain records of student progress and fitness levels.

Provide constructive feedback to improve performance.

Sports & Event Management

Organize annual sports day, inter-house competitions, and tournaments.

Train and prepare students for inter-school competitions.

Coordinate sports events, schedules, and logistics.

Health & Safety

Ensure safety during all physical activities and sports.

Teach students about injury prevention and basic fitness care.

Maintain and monitor sports equipment and facilities.

Co-curricular Activities

Lead sports clubs and fitness programs.

Encourage active participation in extracurricular sports activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or related field

M.P.Ed. (preferred but not mandatory)

First aid certification is an advantage

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of sports and fitness training

Excellent leadership and motivational skills

Good communication and classroom management

Ability to engage and encourage all students

Organizational skills for managing events

Experience

1–3 years of teaching or coaching experience preferred

Experience in organizing school sports events is an advantage
