Location:

Houston, TX. Salary: $60,000.00–$70,000.00 per year.

The Bookkeeper / Accounts Payable Clerk will handle day‑to‑day financial record‑keeping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all accounting transactions. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and supports the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing functions.

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Review vendor invoices, obtain manager approval, and process payments.
• Process client payments, manage bank and credit card reconciliations, produce weekly receivables reports, and support collections efforts.
• Assist the HR team with payroll processing, including review of time, benefits, and deductions.
• Support job costing and produce performance scorecards for the leadership team and field managers.

• At least 5 years of successful experience as a bookkeeper or AP clerk, supported by references.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
• Expertise in Quick Books Online Advanced platform and spreadsheets.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, reliability, and trustworthiness.
• Ability to maintain a 40‑hour per week schedule in the office.

• College degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Prior experience with multi‑divisional companies, related companies, and corporate acquisitions.
• Motivation for advancement and ability to lead people.
• Spanish language proficiency (bilingual).
