Aurelia Technologies is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement activities in our power generation and turbine operations. This role is responsible for sourcing and procure materials and components, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery to support production goals. Ideal candidates will have experience in turbine systems, industrial equipment, or energy sector procurement.
Essential Functions- Source and purchase mechanical, electrical, and turbine-related components to support manufacturing and operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, price, and delivery targets
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to optimize cost and lead times
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to align purchasing decisions with product requirements
- Review purchase requisitions and issue POs in accordance with company policies
- Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and maintain accurate records in procurement systems
- Support negotiations for contracts and long-term supply agreements
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and corporate procurement policies
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support inventory control initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in procurement (power generation, turbine systems, or industrial equipment strongly preferred)
- Understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, and contract negotiations
- Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience sourcing turbine parts or rotating equipment
- Familiarity with ISO standards and vendor audits
- Knowledge of energy sector regulatory compliance
- APICS or ISM certification is a plus

- The Buyer role is primarily office-based and requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Specific vision abilities necessary for this position include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus for reading documents, spreadsheets, and product specifications.
- Work hours are typically Monday through Friday, but may occasionally include early mornings, late evenings, or limited weekend activity based on project or vendor demands.
