Clinical Research Principal Investigator – Neurologist
Alcanza is a growing multi‑site, multi‑phase clinical research company with locations across the United States and Puerto Rico. We have a strong presence across Phase I–IV studies in several therapeutic areas including vaccine, neurology, dermatology, psychiatry, and general medicine.

- Ensures the medical well‑being and safety of study participants through safe performance and ethical execution of clinical trials in adherence to FDA, ICH, NIH, GCP, and HIPAA guidelines, study protocols, and company policies.
- Overall site leadership focused on enhancing efficiencies, patient safety, and protocol/GCP/regulatory compliance.
- Evaluates and assesses participants to ensure only eligible participants enroll into trials.
- Participates and engages in successful delivery and retention of study participants.
- Interacts positively and collaboratively with sponsors, clients, and team members.
- Practices attention to detail in recording data and participant information, following protocol guidelines and GCPs.
- Actively involved in protocol training for staff.
- Participates in investigator meetings and continuing education activities to stay current on recruitment affairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or required based on the needs of participants, protocols, or company.
- Clinical procedures based on area of specialty.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as MS Office, electronic health records, and web applications, with typing speed of 40+ wpm.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and math proficiency.
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills. Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) preference.
- Well‑developed interpersonal and listening skills; ability to work independently and with colleagues.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing workloads.
- Professional, respectful, self‑motivated, with strong work ethic.
- High degree of urgency, integrity, and dependability.
- Ability to work independently to identify problems and implement solutions.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information confidentially and in compliance with HIPAA.
MD or DO degree; active physician license in the state of practice; clinical research experience; board certification in neurology.
