Memorial Hermann Health System is recruiting an Occupational Medicine Physician to provide expert oversight of patient care in an outpatient setting, with a focus on occupational medicine and acute care.
Job SummaryThe physician will exercise advanced clinical expertise to optimize quality of care within the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, focusing on occupational medicine and acute care in an outpatient environment.
Minimum Qualifications- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Medicine
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current state medical license
- Current Federal Drug Enforcement Agency license
- Board certified or Board eligible
- Basic Cardiac Life Certification or Advanced Cardiac Life Certification
- Staff privileges at all hospitals for which coverage is being provided
- Experience / Knowledge /
Skills:- Strong experience in both occupational medicine and acute care settings

- Teamwork skills facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration

- Active listener, articulate communicator
- Timely resolution of concerns with the Healthcare System

- Direct patient care via Consult Orders across the health care system.
- Provide consultation services in collaboration with attending or primary care providers.
- Communicate with attending physicians, nurses, families, and treatment team members to establish appropriate patient care plans.
- Effectively communicate with the treatment team in a timely, professional manner to provide quality psychiatric care throughout the system.
- Comply with best practices, care directives, and Performance Improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Physicians, Risk Managers, and Case Managers to resolve clinical, administrative, or technical issues.
- Interact with Occupational Medicine client teams and/or Business Development teams to promote the Service Line.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to MH compliance privacy policies.
- Ensure safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; comply with all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards, including budgeting, time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.
- Promote professional growth and development; meet mandatory/continuing education requirements, support department-based goals, serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource.
- Other duties as assigned.
