Project management and coordination with structural design staff and other disciplines to meet project schedules and budgets.
- Production of schematic and detailed designs and evaluation of planning and concept alternatives
- Development of contract documents, including construction drawings and technical specifications
- Preparation of design reports and proposals, and direct interface with clients and agencies
- Perform periodic site visits and attend client meetings
- Assist with the training of the rehabilitation team and mentor junior staff
- Work independently and collaboratively with local and firmwide team members, and participate in office business development strategy and implementation

Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required;
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred - 15 to 20 years of structural design experience, including waterfront infrastructure and marine environments; experience in both new and rehabilitative design
- Professional Engineer licensure in Texas required or ability to obtain via reciprocity within 6 months of hire
- Project management experience
- Familiarity with ASCE MOP 130 and working knowledge of rehabilitation
- Experience with structural analysis and load paths
- Experience effectively interacting with staff, vendors, clients and agencies
- Experience with DoD or NAVFAC design and construction projects desired
- Possess or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Eligibility to pass a background check for Department of Defense DBIDS card and other client badges
- Consent to pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug screening and demonstrate U.S. citizenship and thorough background check results
- Willingness to work at The Woodlands office at least 3 days per week
- All new hires must complete and pass a pre-employment background check in compliance with NIST 800-171, and Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify

Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may require navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
