Senior Electrical Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to support large-scale energy storage projects, including systems serving hyperscale data center loads. In this role, you'll lead interconnection efforts, conduct power system studies, and collaborate with utilities and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Perform steady-state, dynamic stability, and short-circuit analyses using tools like PSSE/E and ETAP.
• Develop PSS/E and PSCAD models for utility-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Prepare and submit interconnection applications with ISOs (ERCOT, SPP, MISO, etc.).
• Review and validate third-party models and reports.
• Design HV substation one-lines and layouts for hybrid projects (BESS, Wind, PV, Gas).
• Use tools like Enverus and GIS to identify Points of Interconnection and optimize layouts.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure compliance with standards (IEEE, NERC, FERC).

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience in interconnection, transmission planning, or power systems modeling for large-scale projects.
• Proficiency with PSS/E; familiarity with AutoCAD for one-line diagrams.
• Strong understanding of grid codes and energy market dynamics (ERCOT experience preferred).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• PE license in Texas.
• Experience with ETAP, grounding studies, or data center projects.
