We are seeking a Bilingual Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) to join our medical team in a combined role as a Medical Assistant
. This position is ideal for a foreign-trained physician looking to gain valuable experience in a U.S. clinical setting while preparing for licensure or residency. The candidate must be fluent in e.g., Spanish and English , with excellent spoken and written English skills to communicate effectively with both patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
- Record patient histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.
- Assist providers with physical exams and in-office procedures.
- Administer vaccines, injections, and perform EKGs as needed.
- Educate patients on follow-up instructions, medications, and health maintenance.
Patient Communication:
- Translate medical information clearly and accurately between English and Spanish or other language .
- Assist in building trust and comfort with non-English speaking patients.
- Ensure clear, compassionate communication in all patient interactions.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments, confirm visits, and manage check-in/check-out.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR).
- Answer phones, process referrals, and support front desk operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a non-U.S. medical school.
- Fluent in English and second language, e.g., Spanish ? both oral and written.
- Previous clinical or medical office experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, EMR systems, and HIPAA compliance.
- Medical Assistant certification is a plus, but not required.

We are an Internal Medicine Practice located in Katy, Texas. Hours of operation are from 8:30-5:30.
