Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland is seeking a motivated PAT RN to join our team. The center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
- Monday to Friday work schedule
- Open two Saturdays a month; must work at least one Saturday a month
- NO CALL required
- Off most holidays
Under the direct supervision of the RN manager, the PAT nurse is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients condition, patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state of Texas
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have at least 1-3 years of previous experience in PreOP/PACU
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
- Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
