About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-driven, proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Katy. In this role, you’ll help ensure our products meet company standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements by supporting field QC efforts and performing audits throughout the production process. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with production teams, external fabricators, and field QC personnel.

the Team

Our Quality Assurance team partners closely with outside fabricators, field construction, document control, and engineering to verify that all materials, processes, and finished products meet engineering and client specifications. This position plays a key role in maintaining quality compliance and supporting project milestones.

What You’ll Do
  • Verify that only qualified welders, approved welding procedures, and specified materials are used during fabrication.
  • Identify, document, and report quality issues or deviations from specifications, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to resolve them.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Audit fabrication documentation and review Construction Management System (CMS) for accuracy and adherence to project quality standards.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related discipline within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid problem-solving skills.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and PDF tools such as Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat.
  • Able to read and interpret technical documents, including isometrics, P&IDs, and specifications.
What Will Set You Apart
  • 5+ years of QA/QC experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (ASME, API, AWS).
