Sales Representative – New Home Construction – Katy Tx

Schedule: Full-time, on-site, 5 days / week (Saturdays required)

A growing new home construction business in Katy, TX is seeking a Sales Representative to drive new home sales. This role is ideal for a sales professional with a proven track record in new home construction or supplier/materials sales, or a construction manager/assistant superintendent looking to transition into sales.

• Overcome objections to the sale using proven objection-handling processes
• Create appropriate urgency to buy
• Register 100% of prospects with complete and accurate demographic information and follow up consistently with prospective buyers
• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by setting proper expectations at time of purchase agreement
• Guide buyers through the mortgage process, lot purchase, sale of current home, home finishes selections, and building process through to closing
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to other sales team members by sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices
• Utilize effective, proven sales processes to build rapport and uncover buyer needs, ability to buy, and timing
• Differentiate homes by effectively presenting the building process and focusing on buyer needs
• Financially qualify buyers through understanding of finance programs (conventional, FHA, VA) and tax benefits
• Respond to lead calls and meet with potential customers
• Follow up on homeowner design ideas and work with the construction team to meet customized plans
• Review plans with customers and work with banks to close loans/financing

• Bachelor's Degree or Associates degree (Business, Marketing, etc.) or equivalent sales knowledge
• 2+ years of solid inside-outside sales experience
• Proven track record in new home construction and sales experience (construction, supplier/materials industry, etc.) and strong business development background
• Familiarity with sales fundamentals related to prospecting, sales, and closing techniques
• Well-developed verbal, written, interpersonal, presentation, PC, and team player skills
• Real estate license not required
• Ability to work 5 days / week, including required Saturdays

• Exposure to the construction field-operations environment (as a Superintendent, Field Engineer, Construction Manager, etc.) is highly desirable
• New construction home sales experience preferred
• Past construction managers or assistant superintendents wishing to transition into sales are welcome
