Commercial Installation Technician

As a Commercial Installation Technician under Universal Installations, you will be hands on in the field at retail locations. The hours primarily worked will be from eleven pm to six am Sunday through Thursday, however, we will run day shift if the project calls for it from seven am to four pm. This position will require applicants to drive a company vehicle to each jobsite.

You will also be responsible for company tools and equipment. When you arrive onsite, you will start by meeting with site superintendent and holding a daily safety meeting. Unload materials pulled from warehouse or take inventory of materials onsite. If materials were shipped to the site photos should be taken and uploaded with inventory list. You will then begin installation with the team.

Once installation is complete you will be required to go through the company checklist checking the quality of the installation, walking with the site superintendent confirming expectations have been met, uploading all photos and documentation as necessary.

Job Requirements:

Technical Proficiency:
This position demands a large technical proficiency through a variety of power tools, construction knowledge, and computer skills; including but not limited to core drilling, angle grinding, hammer drilling, precise measuring and cutting, reading blueprints, filling out and uploading a digital sign off, as well as uploading daily completion photos.

Equipment Operation:
Proficient operation of earth moving equipment and machinery for bollard placement. Certification in skid steer operation is a plus.

Safety First:
Strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. Compliance with OSHA regulations is required.

Quality Assurance:
Ability to conduct and participate in quality control checks to ensure installations meet specified standards.

Valid Driver's License and Legal Residency:
** Hold and maintain a valid driver's license. U.S. legal residency is required.
