Industrial Machinery Rigger I at DFW Movers & Erectors, Inc.

An Industrial Machinery Rigger (IM Rigger I) is responsible for moving heavy industrial machinery, equipment, and materials that cannot be moved through conventional methods. This entry-level position requires strong teamwork, clear communication, and safety awareness. Riggers set up and repair rigging at manufacturing plants and construction sites, aligning and anchoring machinery, attaching loads, controlling heavy equipment movement, and ensuring safety.

• Inspect and prepare loads for movement.
• Set, align, and level heavy equipment machinery.
• Select appropriate rigging gear.
• Prepare rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts.
• Inspect rigging gear before use.
• Monitor and maintain rigging equipment.
• Maneuver loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand.
• Ensure compliance with federal and company safety procedures.
• Communicate with the rigging and construction team.
• Break down rigging equipment and conduct post‑rigging inspections.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Excellent hearing and vision.
• Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy tools and carry materials up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions.
