Lead Field Supervisor will oversee and manage the on-site installation and commissioning of Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs) and related systems. The role requires extensive experience in industrial manufacturing, welding/fabrication, and low‑voltage control panels. The ideal candidate is a confident project leader with the technical know‑how to guide field teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain strong customer relationships—all while ensuring safety, quality, and timeline adherence.

KEY

DELIVERABLES (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES)
  • Project Leadership On‑Site – Lead and coordinate project activities.
  • Construction Scheduling & Planning – Develop and track project schedules.
  • Manage crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials; track milestones and coordinate with project managers and engineering.
  • Quality Control / QA‑QC Oversight – Ensure installations meet design specs, code compliance, conduct inspections, punch lists, and documentation.
  • Problem‑Solving & On‑Site Adaptability – Troubleshoot field issues quickly with limited resources.
  • Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination – Handle rigging, crane operations, and high‑heat material contractors.
  • Technical Oversight – Mechanical and electrical systems knowledge; interpret P&IDs, isometrics, layout drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Welding & Fabrication Oversight – Knowledge of ASME, AWS welding procedures and codes.
  • HVAC and Process Engineering Basics – Understand airflow, pressure drops, heat transfer, and emission control.
  • OSHA & Site Safety Compliance – Enforce safety standards, conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and complete documentation.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Communication – Act as the primary on‑site point of contact; provide regular updates.
  • Time Management – Coordinate multiple moving parts to stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Client‑Facing Professionalism – Represent the company during site visits, meetings and commissioning.
  • Documentation & Reporting – Maintain daily site reports, progress photos, as‑built documentation, and digital reporting tools.
  • Travel – Must be willing and able to travel 60–90% of the time, including extended stays on job sites.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of field experience in industrial manufacturing, construction, or environmental systems.
  • Direct experience building and installing Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTOs) or similar equipment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate multi‑trade subcontractors.
  • Willing and able to travel extensively (60–90%).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in RTO systems or industrial air pollution control equipment.
  • Proficient in welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and metal fabrication techniques.
  • Working knowledge of low‑voltage electrical panels and control systems (24 VDC, 120 VAC, PLC interfaces).
  • Formal training or certifications in welding, electrical, or mechanical trades.
  • OSHA 30 or other safety certifications.
  • Familiarity with project management software/tools.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Frequent exposure to dust, noise, and smells.
  • Must be in good general health with good mental focus, agility, balance, and vision.
  • Pulling, pushing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, crawling, significant finger and hand manipulation, standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/move 25–75 lb, with or without assistance.
  • Exposure to heavy steel fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly environment.
  • May have exposure to all weather and temperature variations.
