Youth Respite Caregiver- Kaukauna

Overview

We are looking for a childcare provider for a bright and energetic 15-year-old who has special needs, along with a psychiatric disorder. This role will involve planning community outings, providing transportation, engaging in de‑escalating tactics as needed, and providing 1:1 supervision.

Location:

Kaukauna, WI.

Schedule:

Part-time, As needed. After school start time 1:45 pm, Weekend start time 10 a.m. Flexible scheduling is available.

Wage: $17.98 per hour.

• Plan and execute community outings.
• Provide transportation to and from outings.
• Engage in de‑escalating tactics as needed.
• Provide 1:1 supervision.
• Provide a safe space for community exploration.
• Spot clean bathroom and household surfaces (take out garbage, replace toilet paper, etc.).

• Driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle, willing to use personal vehicle for local travel only.
• Experience working with adults or children with complex needs (mental health, developmental disabilities, autism, ADHD, ODD, etc.).
• Willingness to learn and accept coaching.
• Ability to pass a Wisconsin Caregiving Background Check.
• Proven dependability and commitment to providing care for children and adults with special needs.
