The People and Culture Partner will support all aspects of the employee experience — from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, performance, and retention. This role will serve as a hands‑on coach and generalist, ensuring that our people programs align with business goals while nurturing a culture of collaboration, accountability, and respect. This role assists in driving initiatives that make Cold Front Distribution a great place to work.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for warehouse, logistics, sales, and administrative roles.
- Build strong talent pipelines and relationships with various employment networks.
- Oversee onboarding and orientation to ensure smooth integration of new team members.
- Employee Engagement & Culture
- Champion the company’s values and promote a positive, safe, and inclusive work environment.
- Develop employee engagement programs, recognition systems, and feedback mechanisms.
- Facilitate internal communications that support connection, transparency, and trust.
- Performance & Development
- Guide employees and managers through performance management systems.
- Support leadership and employee development through training, coaching, and career growth initiatives.
- Identify skills gaps and coordinate learning opportunities.
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee HR policies, procedures, and compliance with labor laws, workplace safety, and company standards.
- Assist payroll, benefits, and employee records in collaboration with finance and operations teams.
- Assist in investigations and employee relations matters with fairness, discretion, and consistency.
- Partner with the HSE team to ensure a safe and compliant workplace, particularly within warehouse and field sales operations.
- Drive wellbeing programs to support physical and mental health across all employee groups.
- Strong understanding of employment legislation and compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑site operational business.
- Exposure to HRIS / payroll systems (UKG) preferred.
5+ years’ experience in HR, People & Culture, or similar roles — ideally in manufacturing, logistics, food service, or CPG environments.
