Description
Efficiently assist in the management and direction of all aspects of the Service Department operations in a courteous and cordial manner, which insures customer satisfaction and maximum efficiency for the business. Coordinate activities and cooperate with other departments of the business to best serve the service needs of the customer. Sell the company parts, labor and whole goods service at all times.
Essential Functions- Schedule all service work and assign to the Service Technicians. Oversee the work to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Train Service Technicians.
- Oversee the charges for all service tickets, including: customer, internal and warranty work in a timely, profitable manner.
- Stay current on product line.
- Direct safe work habits.
- Assist Service Technicians when needed. Be willing to teach and instruct Service Technicians.
- Control expenses of the Service Department while maintaining productive services for our customers.
- Conduct regular Service Department meetings, for all shifts.
- Control non-productive time, breaks, and control sales of parts to Service Technicians during shift.
- Coordinate progress of service work with customer.
- Be alert to practices that waste time, utilities, and supplies.
- Attend any company, store, and community functions that will benefit the business, when needed.
- A minimum of three years of experience in related field. Prefer mechanical and supervisor background.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Computer experience and knowledge using MS Windows programs and familiarity with ERP & CRM systems.
- The environment is mainly inside; sometimes inspection of vehicles will be performed outside.
- Good Communication Skills (written and oral).
